Strategic Communications
Strategic Communications Planning
Sound strategic planning is essential to achieving maximum results with minimal resources and to ensuring that institutional efforts are fully aligned with overall goals and objectives. This site is designed to promote strategic thinking as it applies to communications, and to help simplify this process for planners, particularly in areas related to internal and external communications and public relations, including but not limited to marketing; advertising; media relations; crisis management; public relations counseling; print, online and electronic communications and social media strategies; branding; and process management. It is also intended to provide a wide range of information and resources and serve as a practical guide aimed at making communications efforts easier, more cost-effective, and increasingly targeted toward supporting each unit’s business plan and key goals and objectives.
This site is a project of the 2009-10 University of Florida Strategic Communications Planning Committee, and is currently under construction. While the committee will be populating this site with information and links on an ongoing basis, we encourage you to view this site when it is fully operational at the conclusion of the project in January 2010.
We encourage your input and suggestions. Contact Committee Chair Debra Amirin.
This effort is made possible in part through the sponsorship of the University of Florida Levin College of Law and its dean, Robert Jerry.
